Mitsubishi HC Capital Inc. (President and CEO: Daiki KUI; hereinafter, Mitsubishi HC Capital) has launched an inventory inspection service (hereinafter, the Service) for the distribution and manufacturing industries. The Service utilizes solutions provided by Hitachi Solutions East Japan Co., Ltd. (President: Takeo ISHII; hereinafter, Hitachi Solutions East Japan) to visualize, analyze, and propose improvements for inventory.

Overview

In recent years, the distribution and manufacturing industries have seen a growing need for more efficient and advanced inventory management due to labor shortages from a declining population, the tendency for operations to be managed by specific individuals, delays in DX (Digital Transformation), as well as product diversification and supply chain disruptions. Challenges in inventory management are no longer just operational issues but have become significant management concerns.

In response to this situation, Mitsubishi HC Capital has launched the Service to contribute to the optimization of the entire supply chain, starting with the optimization of corporate inventory. The Service utilizes Hitachi Solutions East Japan's "SynCAS PSI Visualizer," a solution for visualizing and coordinating production, sales, and inventory (PSI) for the distribution and manufacturing industries, and "Forecast Pro," a solution for supporting demand forecasting.

About the Inventory Inspection Service

In this Service, Mitsubishi HC Capital takes the lead in visualizing inventory status through "SynCAS PSI Visualizer" based on the customer's receiving/shipping/inventory actual and planned data. It then analyzes and evaluates the inventory status based on demand forecasts using "Forecast Pro."

For inventory challenges and problematic stock identified through analysis, improvement measures will be proposed to achieve optimal inventory levels. By offering a comprehensive package that includes inventory visualization, efforts towards optimal inventory, and financing for the supply chain as a whole for these initiatives, we support customers in streamlining and optimizing their inventory operations, thereby contributing to the resolution of inventory issues and the overall optimization of the supply chain.

"SynCAS PSI Visualizer" is a system developed for the distribution and manufacturing industries that "visualizes" inventory status, enabling early detection of problematic stock and visualization of the progress of inventory optimization.
