Hitachi Vantara Launches "Hitachi iQ Studio" in Japan to Accelerate AI Application in Business

Hitachi Vantara, Ltd. (hereinafter, Hitachi Vantara), a group company of Hitachi, Ltd. (hereinafter, Hitachi), today announced the launch of "Hitachi iQ Studio" in Japan. This new offering, an addition to the AI integration platform "Hitachi iQ," is designed to support the development and operation of AI agents and the utilization of data, enabling broader application of AI to enterprise-wide strategy development and process reform.

Previously, Hitachi iQ provided a highly reliable AI stack comprising GPU servers, storage, and AI software necessary for AI implementation. With this enhancement, Hitachi Vantara now offers an AI integration platform equipped with NVIDIA's technology, supporting not only AI implementation but also the development, data utilization, and operation of AI agents for business applications.

In recent years, AI utilization has rapidly expanded beyond improving efficiency in individual or departmental tasks to mission-critical areas such as enterprise strategy development and core business operations. However, a significant challenge lies in securely managing and protecting data, including confidential information and know-how, while simultaneously applying AI quickly and effectively to complex, interconnected company-wide business processes. It enables the rapid deployment of AI infrastructure, which typically requires complex system design, and stably delivers the performance needed for business systems. Furthermore, the addition of Hitachi iQ Studio, which supports the development, operation, and data utilization of AI agents, provides an environment that consistently supports everything from AI infrastructure deployment to business application and ongoing operation.

Features of Hitachi iQ Studio

(1) Accelerating AI Application to Core Business Operations

It provides an environment that makes it easy for business departments without specialized programming skills to utilize AI agents, offering no-code/low-code development environments. Based on the reference design of the NVIDIA AI Data Platform and supporting NVIDIA Agent Toolkit software, including the large language model NVIDIA Nemotron open software designed for AI agents, it offers an environment capable of advanced AI processing. This accelerates the application of AI to complex business processes and speeds up the deployment of AI within enterprises.

(2) Promoting AI Utilization of Diverse Business Data

It is equipped with data pipelines that convert data such as images and audio into formats usable by AI, supporting the utilization of diverse business data. This promotes data utilization and AI application across the entire enterprise.

In conjunction with storage snapshot version management functions, it enhances traceability, allowing users to check the data referenced by AI at past points in time.
