Featured Lectures

"Shall We Start Disaster Prevention That Connects the Extraordinary with the Ordinary?" Takashi Waki

If disaster preparedness is incorporated into daily life, problems will be reduced. I believe this is true not only in childcare settings but also in everyone's daily lives.

I would like to talk about this theme.

"'Waku Waku Ren' Technique to Foster the Ability to Act Without Hesitation" Shuhiro Kamata

Wouldn't you like to think together about training that makes you excited, from "This looks interesting!" to "I want to try it!" to "This is fun!" to "I want to tell others!"? It's also memorable and practical from a neuroscience perspective. The means are infinite, even if the goal is the same. If you implement it in your drill on September 1st, you will win!

"For Ensuring Children and Staff Can Wait Safely Within the Facility! Key Points for Disaster Stockpiling and Storage" Mie Nagashiba

Disaster stockpiling in childcare settings is a preparation to protect the lives of not only staff but also children of various ages. We will clearly explain the necessary disaster stockpiling for safe waiting within the facility, from "why it is necessary" to "what to prepare and how to prepare it." We will share insights from a practical perspective, covering the facility's responsibilities during disasters, risk assessments, key points for realizing disaster stockpiling, and creating a sustainable stockpiling system that doesn't just end with "doing it."

"Essential Cooking Method PolyCOOK and Food Stockpiling Lecture for Disasters" Sonoko Morishita

What and how much disaster food stock are you preparing? It may take several days to hand over to parents. Knowing the PolyCOOK cooking method allows for cooking even in environments where lifelines are down. The water-saving tips taught by PolyCOOK are a way for children to learn disaster prevention while playing. Please share this with parents and the community.

"How Daily Life in the Facility Becomes a Force to Protect Children ~Considering Facility Stockpiling and Ingenuity with Phase-Free Thinking~" Mayuko Imaizumi

Based on my experience as a registered dietitian who worked in nursery schools for many years and past disaster case studies, I will convey a perspective of considering disaster prevention as a personal issue. It is important not only that stockpiles "exist" but that they can be "used." Taking into account the challenges revealed by a preliminary survey targeting nursery schools, I will provide hints for considering preparations suitable for each facility, focusing on how daily childcare, meal services, drills, and information sharing can become strengths during emergencies.
