Hokka Hokka Tei Headquarters Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture, Representative Director, Chairman and President: Tatsuya Aoki), a pioneer in the takeout bento business, will permanently open a new brand "One-Hand BENTO by Hokka Hokka Tei" starting Wednesday, April 29, 2026 (a public holiday), in conjunction with the grand renewal of the deli section on the 2nd basement floor of the Wing Building at the Abeno Harukas Kintetsu Main Store.

■ What is One-Hand BENTO? It is a bento box in a new, futuristic shape that allows you to enjoy staple foods and side dishes with plenty of satisfaction using just one hand. It uses 16-grain rice, which is rich in dietary fiber, vitamins, and minerals.

Exhibited by the Hurxley Group, including Hokka Hokka Tei Headquarters, as a menu item that realizes a smart dining experience regardless of location or time, it recorded total sales of over 220,000 meals during the period at the Osaka-Kansai Expo <Osaka Healthcare Pavilion>. We received a lot of feedback such as "It saved me time between busy exhibition tours" and "I was able to easily enjoy authentic Japanese taste."

While valuing the tradition of Hokka Hokka Tei, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary, this one-hand style "One-Hand BENTO" was provided as a futuristic dining experience.

In modern dietary habits, while the need for time-saving and simplification is increasing, there is also a coexisting health consciousness of "not wanting to compromise on the quality of meals" and "wanting to choose foods that keep oneself in good shape." Hokka Hokka Tei has further updated this futuristic bento and decided to newly commercialize the "One-Hand BENTO" that stays close to the lifestyle of busy modern people.
