Honda Trading Strengthens Business Structure for Decarbonized and Circular Society

Honda Trading Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director, President and Executive Officer: Katsuhito Hayashi) has established the "GX (Green Transformation) Business Development Department" and reorganized its resource circulation business into the "RC (Resource Circulation) Business Department."

Through this, we will strengthen the construction of sustainable business models that balance environmental and economic value, contributing to the realization of a sustainable society.

To achieve a sustainable future as outlined in the 2040 Global Vision, our company has been promoting business transformation to realize a "decarbonized society" and a "circular society" under the Honda Group's concept of "Triple Action to ZERO," which aims for a zero environmental impact society.

With this organizational strengthening, we will reorganize and consolidate environmental-related businesses that have been promoted by multiple departments, further enhancing business creation that achieves both environmental and economic value.

Establishment of GX Business Development Department

We have established the "GX Business Development Department" to handle business development in the environmental field, including the construction of renewable energy businesses such as biomass power generation and the creation of carbon credit businesses.

We will integrate and promote activities from research and development to market development, partner collaboration, and commercialization, strengthening the provision of environmental solutions that meet customers' decarbonization needs and contributing to the realization of a decarbonized society.

Strengthening of RC Business Functions

We have strengthened the functions of the RC Planning Department, which has been promoting initiatives in the resource circulation domain, by reorganizing it into the "RC Business Department" to integrate waste management, resource recovery, and the planning and sales of recycled materials. This will enable us to more broadly respond to customers' needs regarding effective resource utilization and recycled material use, and contribute to the realization of a circular society through the construction of an effective circular value chain.

Under this new structure, our company will continue to challenge new value creation as one team.
