Honda Trading Corporation (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President and Executive Officer: Katsuhito Hayashi) has established the "GX (Green Transformation) Business Development Department" and reorganized its resource circulation business into the "RC (Resource Circulation) Business Department."

This will strengthen the company's efforts to build sustainable business models that balance environmental and economic value, contributing to the realization of a sustainable society.

To date, our company has promoted business transformation to achieve a "decarbonized society" and a "circular society" under the "Triple Action to ZERO" concept, which aims for a zero environmental impact society as set forth by the Honda Group in its 2040 Global Vision, towards realizing a sustainable future.

Through this organizational strengthening, we will reorganize and consolidate environmental-related businesses that have been promoted by multiple departments, further enhancing the creation of businesses that achieve both environmental and economic value.

Establishment of GX Business Development Department

We have established the "GX Business Development Department" to be responsible for business development in environmental fields, including the establishment of renewable energy businesses such as biomass power generation and the creation of carbon credit businesses.

By promoting integrated efforts from research and development to market development, partner collaboration, and commercialization, we will strengthen the provision of environmental solutions that meet customers' decarbonization needs and contribute to the realization of a decarbonized society.

Strengthening of RC Business Functions

We have strengthened the functions of our resource circulation initiatives, which were previously promoted by the RC Planning Department, by reorganizing them into the "RC Business Department." This new structure will integrate waste management, resource recovery, and the planning and sales of recycled materials.

This will allow us to more broadly meet customer needs regarding effective resource utilization and the use of recycled materials, and contribute to the realization of a circular society through the construction of effective circular value chains.

Under this new structure, our company will continue to challenge new value creation as a united team.
