In the Karuizawa Hoshino Area's 'Harunire Terrace', the 'Organic Wind' installation, themed around Karuizawa's wildflowers, will be held from May 18 to June 30, 2026. 100 naturally dyed linen cloths crafted by dyeing artist solosolo will adorn the terrace, and this year, a new tour, 'Moist Rainy Season Forest Walk,' led by a Picchio nature guide, will be implemented. Based on the spirit of environmental management, this sustainable space, where linen used last year has been re-dyed, offers a sense of unity with nature.

### Background 'Karuizawa Hoshino Area', adjacent to the national 'Picchio Wild Bird Sanctuary', has long promoted 'environmental management'. In the 2026 'Organic Wind' event, this spirit will be further deepened, linking visual experiences through exhibits with intellectual experiences through guided tours. Aiming to reduce fabric waste, 100% of the linen used in the previous year's exhibition was upcycled for the materials. By using natural dyes like walnut and madder, and allowing the dyes to penetrate deep into the fibers, which have softened over the years, a matured texture is brought out. Additionally, a tour led by 'Picchio' nature guides, who play a symbolic role in environmental management activities, will be held concurrently. Through experiences of touching reused colors and deeply understanding the actual forest ecosystem, visitors are offered a healing moment of becoming one with nature.
