Sanrio Characters Exhibition 'Hotel Floria Tokyo' Features Sayuri Matsumura Striking Cute Poses with Hello Kitty

Sony Creative Products Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President & CEO: Kimimichi Hirayama) will co-host, with d'strict (District / Gangnam-gu, Seoul), the experiential exhibition 'Sanrio characters Exhibition Hotel Floria Tokyo' at the Tokyu Kabukicho Tower from Wednesday, July 15, 2026, to Monday, May 31, 2027. Ahead of the opening, a press-only event was held on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, featuring guest Sayuri Matsumura, affectionately known as 'Sayuringo'.

Upon experiencing the 360-degree photogenic venue themed around the 'dream hotel' imagined by Sanrio characters, Matsumura commented, 'From the entrance, a sparkling, magical space unfolds—every room is so adorable that my heart won't stop racing! There are so many photo spots I want to capture; I could stay here for a whole year and still not have enough time.' When asked about her ideal character hospitality, referencing the theme 'Hospitality of the Dream Hotel,' Matsumura, a well-known Sanrio fan, said with sparkling eyes, 'I'd love to be welcomed by my favorite Little Twin Stars (Kiki & Lala), holding hands and walking together through the garden space. I want to feel that magical sensation of being under the stars!'

Hello Kitty made a surprise appearance, delighting Matsumura, who shares a cute 'apple' connection with the iconic character. 'Kitty-chan! I only started finding apples cute because of you! We like the same things—could we be destined soulmates!?' she exclaimed joyfully. When Matsumura demonstrated her best 'Instagrammable' poses in the photogenic venue, Hello Kitty joined in, striking matching poses that drew cheers of 'So incredibly cute!' from the audience.

Matsumura was also gifted an exclusive plush toy, popular in Korea and available only at the venue, by Hello Kitty. With a radiant smile, she said, 'Holding it makes my heart feel light and fluffy.' She concluded the event by encouraging visitors: 'From the moment you step in, your heart will race nonstop. It's indoors, so you can escape the summer heat, and it offers a special resort-like atmosphere. Please dress up and come enjoy—take lots of photos!'
