HPE (Hewlett Packard Enterprise Japan G.K.) today announced the expansion of its HPE ProLiant edge portfolio, designed to handle AI and mission-critical workloads even in broadly distributed or harsh (rugged) environments.

The new HPE ProLiant Compute EL2000 chassis and the enhanced HPE ProLiant DL145 Gen11 are optimized for Size, Weight, and Power (SWaP). By introducing the Environmental Ruggedization Option Kit, these platforms can further strengthen their resilience against extreme conditions, such as temperature extremes and high altitudes.

### New and Enhanced ProLiant Edge Platforms

**1. HPE ProLiant Compute EL2000 Chassis** Designed for harsh environments in national security, manufacturing, retail, and telecommunications. It can house the following dedicated servers: - **EL220 Gen12**: Supports up to two Intel Xeon 6 processors. - **EL240 Gen12**: Supports one Intel Xeon 6 processor and can be equipped with NVIDIA RTX PRO 4500 or 6000 Blackwell Server Edition GPUs. - **Key Features**: Scalable from 8 to 144 cores, supports up to 350W TDP, stable operation from 0°C to 55°C and up to 95% humidity, and high durability against intense vibration and electromagnetic interference (EMI).

**2. Enhanced HPE ProLiant DL145 Gen11 Server** A compact 2U system featuring the upcoming AMD EPYC 8005 series processors (codename 'Sorano'). - Can be equipped with up to 84 cores, making it ideal for noise-sensitive manufacturing or retail environments and high-temperature conditions up to 55°C. - The configuration with NVIDIA RTX PRO 4500 has been recognized in MLPerf Inference v6.0 as the only server purpose-built for edge AI inference.

HPE's edge compute portfolio complies with standards required for extreme environments, supporting mission-critical applications where downtime can have serious consequences.
