The Hokkaido Comprehensive Support Center for SMEs is implementing the 'Regional Problem-Solving Entrepreneurship Support Program' to promote entrepreneurship and revitalize the regional economy by providing partial subsidies for startup expenses and offering hands-on support for business establishment to individuals launching new social ventures that utilize digital technology to address regional challenges.
【Application Period】
July 14, 2026 (Tuesday) to August 19, 2026 (Wednesday) (must arrive by 5:00 PM)
【Eligibility】
Individuals who are not currently operating a business and who, after April 1, 2026, will file a notification of opening a sole proprietorship or establish a corporation (including stock companies, limited liability companies, general partnerships, limited partnerships, enterprise cooperatives, worker cooperatives, specified non-profit corporations, or general incorporated associations) in Hokkaido and serve as its representative before the end of the program implementation period.
【Eligible Projects】
Social ventures that newly launch in Hokkaido using digital technology to contribute to solving regional issues.
※ Definition of Regional Issues
Examples include regional revitalization, urban development, child-rearing support, social welfare, and support for vulnerable shoppers.
【Subsidy Rate】 Up to one-half
【Maximum Subsidy Amount】 ¥2,000,000
【Eligible Period for Subsidy】 From the date of grant approval until January 15, 2027, at the latest
