HooHoo Co., Ltd., which operates the grave relocation and temple separation agency service "Watashitachi no Hakajimai" (https://kaiso.or.jp/haka/), conducted a survey on "ridanryo (offering) related to temple separation" targeting 100 men and women who have experienced grave relocation. The survey found that 76.00% of respondents paid a ridanryo. Among those who paid, 50.00% paid between 100,000 and 500,000 yen, followed by 26.32% paying between 50,000 and 100,000 yen. 13.00% did not pay, and 11.00% did not need to separate from a temple. The most common reason for not paying (61.54%) was that the temple did not request it. 42.00% of respondents experienced some form of difficulty during the temple separation process.
