I AM I Inc. (Location: Naha City, Okinawa Prefecture, Representative Director: Sana Kameoka, https://iami.jp/ , hereinafter referred to as I AM I), which supports corporate SNS operations and branding primarily in Okinawa Prefecture, will begin full-scale provision of its in-house design education program "Design Lamp" (Site URL: https://iami.jp/designlamp) for corporate communications staff starting July 2026. Through a total of 4 practical training sessions (120 minutes each) using Canva, the program aims to build a system that allows for continuous in-house communication without relying on external vendors or individual intuition. The know-how cultivated through supporting over 50 companies in Okinawa and beyond will be systematized and deployed from Okinawa to small and medium-sized enterprises nationwide.

Message: "Lighting the power to communicate."

Background: Tools evolve, but "the power to communicate" remains with people.

With the evolution of design and editing tools, including generative AI, we are now in an era where anyone can create high-quality videos and still images. On the other hand, the planning and judgment of "who to communicate with, what to communicate, and with what value" can ultimately only be done by people. In fact, as tools become more sophisticated, the difference between companies is concentrated in "the power to communicate," such as people's judgment and sensibility. However, the reality is that many companies lack the systems to support this "power to communicate" in their communication departments. While supporting the SNS operations of over 50 companies in and outside Okinawa Prefecture, I AM I has identified common challenges.

Communication staff are often concurrently handling other duties, leading to personalization and burnout.

It is difficult to secure a budget large enough for outsourcing.

Posts are made without certainty of their effectiveness, making it difficult to continue.

The issue was not with the tools or individual talent, but with the lack of a "system" for communication.

"Design Lamp," the in-house design education program for corporate communications staff, was born to solve these problems.

Features of Design Lamp

This is an in-house design education program for corporate communications staff. It utilizes Canva, a free graphic design tool usable online, with the aim of not only improving individual staff skills but also building a system for the organization to continue communication.

〈Program Example〉

Total 4 sessions / 120 minutes per session (approx. 2-3 months)

On-site sessions held in the client company's meeting rooms (no limit on the number of participants, account numbers negotiable)

Each session involves repetition of "assignment submission → professional feedback → improvement"

1. Checklist for the poster 2. Examples of measures taken on SNS 3. The role and linkage of ground strategy

Why Canva?

Canva has features such as simple operability that anyone can use, collaborative editing functions for teams, abundant templates, and low-cost implementation. It is ideal as a means to embed a system for continuous operation and communication within an organization, even for those who are not design experts. Therefore, this program utilizes Canva.

This is not just a Canva course, nor an SNS operation agency.

In a Canva course, the know-how remains with the individual. With SNS operation agencies, it remains external. The greatest feature of Design Lamp is that communication know-how continues to be utilized within the organization.

Future Development

Design Lamp will first focus on adoption by small and medium-sized enterprises and the tourism/service industries in Okinawa Prefecture, aiming to establish a "communication in-house model" where communication staff can continue to communicate in a way that reflects their company's identity. The lack of personnel for communication, personalization, and the inability to rely solely on external outsourcing are common challenges not only in Okinawa but also for many regional companies. In the future, in addition to on-site sessions, we will also offer online courses and create co-creation communities where participating companies can learn from each other, expanding this new option for nurturing "communication power" within companies from Okinawa to the rest of the country.
