H.C. Tochigi Nikko Ice Bucks held a press conference today at the Prefectural Government Reporters Club for the joining of defenseman #10 Mitsuhiro Kyoya, goaltender #31 Ryo Murakami, and forward #76 Anthony Steiger.

Comment from Nobumasa Kinugasa, General Manager: "Mr. Kyoya is a player I've been watching for some time, excelling in game-making ability and skating technique. With an eye toward generational change on the defense, we expect him to bring new strength to the team on both offense and defense. Mr. Murakami is a young goaltender who has honed his skills overseas, gaining experience in North America, Northern Europe, and Australia. Considering that players with international experience are active in the Asia League, we have invited him to join, expecting his future growth and potential. Mr. Anthony is a player with extensive experience and high leadership qualities, having been active at the forefront of the Swiss second division for many years, serving as captain for the last four seasons. We believe his play, utilizing his excellent physique, speed, and physicality, will bring new strengths to the team. Additionally, Mr. Hakkanen from Finland, who was unable to attend today, is scheduled to join the team in August. With the addition of new players, competition within the team will be further invigorated, and we expect them to be a great asset in achieving this season's goals."

Comment from Mitsuhiro Kyoya: "I have joined the Ice Bucks starting this season. I am Mitsuhiro Kyoya, wearing number 10. At the end of last season, I had a desire to challenge something new. When my FA status became available, GM Kinugasa approached me, asking if I would aim for a championship together, which led me to decide to join the Ice Bucks.

This season's goal: 'Growth' As this is my seventh year as a professional, I am not young anymore and am aware that I must become a central figure in the team. Therefore, I chose this word with the hope of showing everyone a more grown version of myself than ever before.

Comment from Ryo Murakami: "I am Ryo Murakami, who has played overseas. I received an offer from GM Kinugasa, and I wanted to gain professional experience, and I also had the desire to play in the top-tier Asia League, so I decided to join. I want to leverage the experience I've cultivated in North America and Europe since I was 15, and while competing with players like Mr. Fukuhara and Mr. Otsuka, I want to play in games and earn my spot.

This season's goal: 'Proof' Although I have a lot of international experience, I have limited professional experience. Therefore, I want to prove the experience I've gained overseas and what I've done so far with results and numbers in the professional arena.

Comment from Anthony Steiger: "I am Anthony Steiger from Switzerland. I am very honored to be here. Playing in Japan has always been a dream of mine, and Coach Jalonen had been in contact with me since the beginning of last season. After the season ended, I spoke with GM Kinugasa, and the move to the Ice Bucks came about.

This season's goal: 'Energy, Leadership' Regarding energy, I am confident in my physical play, and I want to continue playing physically in my attacking game. Regarding leadership, I have experience as a captain and 15 years of professional experience, so I want to bring positive leadership to the team.
