Ichijo Komuten Co., Ltd. has conducted the 'Summer 2026 Home Heat and Humidity Awareness Survey' among 2,873 men and women. With predictions that this summer will be hotter than average nationwide, the survey investigated where people feel heat at home and their concerns regarding humidity.
### Survey on Heat - **The areas felt to be the hottest at home are: 1st, 'bedroom' (24.5%); 2nd, 'living/dining room' (17.3%); 3rd, 'restroom' (15.7%).** - **Regarding air conditioning usage last year, 'June' was the most common month to start usage (approx. 40%), and '4 months' was the most common duration (approx. 30%).** - **During the record-breaking heat of last summer, approx. 40% of people answered they 'lowered the AC setting temperature compared to usual years.'** - **The most common threshold for turning off the AC when going out is '1 hour or more (less than 2 hours)' (approx. 24%).
