Idemitsu to Establish New Company 'Idemitsu Crop Arts Co., Ltd.' in April 2027 by Merging SDS Biotech and Agro-Kanesho

Idemitsu Kosan Co., Ltd. will merge its group companies, SDS Biotech Co., Ltd. and Agro-Kanesho Co., Ltd., to establish a new company, 'Idemitsu Crop Arts Co., Ltd.,' in April 2027. Through this integration, we will combine the strengths of SDS, which has R&D and manufacturing capabilities centered on agrochemicals, with the strengths of Agro-Kanesho, which has proposal and technical support capabilities closely tied to agricultural sites, to build a business structure that contributes to solving issues and improving productivity in the agricultural sector. In recent years, due to global population growth and climate change, agriculture is required to achieve both stable productivity and sustainability more than ever. Idemitsu Crop Arts will combine the strengths of SDS and Agro-Kanesho. In domestic business, we will go beyond selling agrochemicals to promote operations that are close to agricultural sites by proposing optimal agrochemicals based on crop and regional issues and disseminating appropriate usage technologies. In R&D, based on drug discovery and formulation technology, we aim to 'deliver what the field really needs, faster and more reliably.' In overseas business, we will collaborate with local partners who deeply understand the agricultural situation in each region to co-create value while facing regional issues.
