iKala Co-founder and Chairman Sega Cheng Named 2026 Jeffrey Koo Fellow

AI transformation company iKala is pleased to announce that its Co-founder and Chairman, Sega Cheng, has been selected as the sole recipient of the 2026 Jeffrey Koo Fellowship. Prior to this, Cheng was also named a 2026 Eisenhower Fellow.

The Jeffrey Koo Fellowship was established in 2013 in partnership with the Eisenhower Fellowships to honor individuals who contribute to promoting international cooperation and cross-border mutual understanding.

The fellowship honors the legacy of the late Jeffrey Koo Sr., a legendary leader in Taiwan's financial and business sectors and long-time chairman of Taipei-based CTBC Financial Holding Co., Ltd. Mr. Koo was widely recognized for his significant contributions to the development of international economic and business exchanges in Taiwan.

Cheng was selected as an Eisenhower Fellow in recognition of his initiatives to strengthen collaboration between Taiwan and the U.S. in the fields of AI, technology, and innovation. He advocates for stronger ties between industry, government, and academia while working to elevate Taiwan’s presence in global AI transformation and reliable AI infrastructure.

Commenting on the award, Cheng stated:

"I am deeply honored to receive the prestigious Jeffrey Koo Fellowship. I am merely a beneficiary of the hard work and international foundations laid by those who came before me.
