Ikeda Mohando Co., Ltd., the manufacturer and distributor of the anti-itch medicine 'Muhi', will hold a commemorative event called the 'Muhi Centennial Festival' in Toyama Prefecture on July 25 (Sat) and 26 (Sun), 2026, to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the product. The company has designated June 1st as 'Muhi Day' based on the Japanese wordplay for 'Mu (6) Hi (1)'. In conjunction with this day, the company announced the second wave of event content, featuring two performances in the Toyama night sky and the first wave of stage performers. Further details will be released in future press releases.

The festival will feature performances at Fugan Unga Kansui Park on both nights. The first night will be a participatory lantern event, and the second night will be a fireworks show synchronized with music, expressing gratitude for the past 100 years.

On July 25th, the 'Muhi 100th Anniversary Lantern Night' will be held. Colorful lanterns released by attendees will light up the waterfront. The lanterns will be tethered for environmental and safety reasons, rising up to 10 meters. Participation is limited to 610 people, with applications opening in mid-June via the Kita-Nippon Shimbun website.

On July 26th, the 'Muhi 100th Anniversary Sound and Light Anniversary Fireworks Show' will take place, featuring approximately 1,000 fireworks synchronized with music, including Niagara fireworks and special 'Muhi 100th Anniversary' text fireworks.

Stage performers include three members of the local YouTube channel 'Toyama no Asobiba! TV' as MCs, and solo artist Aozora Sorano (Aonyan). Please check the special website for more details.
