About the Film 'Eikyo to Pipedream'

'Eikyo to Pipedream' is a human drama themed around the light and shadow of the word 'dream.'

People are sometimes saved by dreams, and at other times, they are swayed by them.

This film portrays this duality of 'dreams' through the stories of people who gather at a small snack bar.

Set in a Real Snack Bar

The story centers around a small snack bar in a corner of town.

The casual conversations exchanged in daily life, the small hopes and resignations people hold. While carefully capturing such an atmosphere, the lives of the characters intersect.

The memory of the food and beverage industry being hit hard by the COVID-19 pandemic in 2021 also greatly influences the story's background.

Filming will be conducted with the full cooperation of 'Snack Sakuramichi,' a real snack bar located in Inagi, Tokyo.

A Challenge as an Indie Film

This work is being produced as an independent film.

Unlike commercial films, within a limited scale, we are proceeding with filmmaking that values the actors' performances and the reality of the space.

Precisely because it is a story born from a small place, we aim to carefully visualize human weakness and hope.

Background of the Crowdfunding Campaign

This project is currently conducting a crowdfunding campaign with a goal of raising 1.8 million JPY as part of the film production costs.

Indie films are often produced with limited funds. Therefore, we decided to implement crowdfunding as a way to share the production process with more people.

We have prepared various returns for our supporters so that they can watch over the filmmaking process as a member of the production team.
