Isetan Mitsukoshi Holdings Selected for First Time in ESG Investment Indices 'FTSE JPX Blossom Japan Index' and 'FTSE4Good Index Series'

Isetan Mitsukoshi Holdings Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Toshiyuki Hosoya; hereinafter, the Company) announces that it has been selected for the first time as a constituent of the ESG investment indices 'FTSE JPX Blossom Japan Index'※1 and 'FTSE4Good Index Series'※2, provided by FTSE Russell.

The FTSE JPX Blossom Japan Index comprises Japanese companies demonstrating outstanding initiatives in environmental, social, and governance (ESG) practices. The FTSE4Good Index Series is a globally recognized ESG index, consisting of companies worldwide that demonstrate strong ESG performance. Both indices are widely used by domestic and international institutional investors as benchmarks for responsible investment.

Our Group has been enhancing sustainability management by reviewing its materiality priorities in fiscal 2023. We recognize this selection as an acknowledgment by FTSE Russell of our accumulated efforts and transparent disclosures under its ESG evaluation criteria. We believe this inclusion will enhance awareness among ESG-focused investors globally, increase long-term investor interest, and further strengthen trust in our Group’s sustainability initiatives.
