On Saturday, July 11, the 'ONnOFF JAPAN FANMEETING' took place at WATERRAS COMMON HALL in Tokyo. As the opening video heightened anticipation, Han Ji-woo and Cho Yoon made their entrance from the back of the venue in stylish suits. Greeting fans with a cheerful 'Konnichiwa!' in Japanese, they walked through the audience, handing out a single flower each, immediately filling the hall with cheers and excitement from the very beginning.

Once on stage, the two delivered self-introductions in Japanese, with Han Ji-woo speaking first, followed by Cho Yoon. When asked by the MC about their feelings toward holding this fan meeting in Japan—following their recent first-ever GL drama fan event in Korea—Han Ji-woo expressed heartfelt gratitude: 'Many fans attended our event in Korea, but seeing so many people here in Japan truly moves me. I can feel how much love Japanese audiences have for our drama, ONnOFF. Thank you so much.' Cho Yoon added with a warm smile: 'Thank you for coming all this way. I still can’t quite believe I’m in Japan, but I’m really happy to be sharing this joyful time with all of you today.'

In the 'ONnOFF Resume' segment, which compared their real personalities to their on-screen characters, Cho Yoon, who plays Hayoon, shared that while she shares the same MBTI (ENFP) as her character, she has recently 'shifted from Feeling (F) to Thinking (T) type.' When asked about character development across Seasons 1 to 3, Han Ji-woo, who plays Se-ah, reflected: 'You can see Se-ah gradually becoming softer and kinder. Through various events, especially with the appearance of antagonists, the bond between Se-ah and Hayoon has deepened significantly.'

The next segment, 'ONnOFF! That Moment, Once Again,' revisited iconic scenes selected through a pre-event fan survey. The actors shared behind-the-scenes stories, such as scenes where only lines were scripted and the rest improvised, or those filmed in a single take without cuts—moments that left a lasting impression.

At the fans’ call of 'Lady Action!', the duo reenacted the famous scene where the tsundere Se-ah confesses 'I love you' to Hayoon. They then switched roles to recreate a sweet office scene, sparking massive cheers from the audience. They also revealed that this particular scene was shot on the first day of filming, when both were nervous—an anecdote that further intensified the emotional atmosphere.

During the 'Q&A' session, they answered both pre-submitted and live audience questions. When asked, 'How do you separate yourself from your character after playing diverse roles?', Han Ji-woo shared: 'I focus more on entering the role than leaving it. In daily life, I’m just myself, but before filming, I organize my thoughts about the character. If I need to stay in character for a long time, I try to mentally become that person from the morning of the shoot.' In response to 'Has appearing in this work helped you grow?', Cho Yoon said: 'Thanks to Ji-woo leading the set, I’ve learned to take initiative on other sets—suggesting things like 'Shall we try it this way?' Before, I was too nervous to voice my opinions, but now I act more proactively. I believe I’ve grown a lot.' This segment offered fans a rare glimpse into their personal and professional growth.

Later, a prize draw and a photo time for all attendees were held. As the actors walked among fans again, exchanging smiles and waves, a group photo session concluded the main event. Fans held up banners reading 'Michigetta, because of ONnOFF' (Part 1) and 'This view is both the goal and the start' (Part 2), sending heartfelt messages to the stars.

In their final remarks, Han Ji-woo said, 'Thank you so much for traveling from far away. Please go home safely.' Cho Yoon then delivered a touching message in Japanese: 'Thank you all for coming today. I’m truly happy to meet you all in Japan. My Japanese isn’t perfect, but I prepared a little to express my gratitude. I hope today becomes a precious and happy memory for all of you—and for me too. I’ll keep working hard to show you better versions of myself. Thank you always.' Both actors were visibly moved, nearly in tears, as they jointly concluded with a heartfelt 'Arigatou gozaimashita,' closing the event on an emotional note.

After their departure, a video message was played, featuring a handwritten letter from the two to their fans, leaving the audience in deep emotion. The event ended with a warm, lingering afterglow. A special photo session followed, creating unforgettable moments for fans.
