Built on three pillars—Discovery, Inventory, and Insights—Infoblox Universal Asset Insights expands functionality beyond basic asset detection to deliver comprehensive infrastructure intelligence.

The platform establishes a foundation of continuously validated, reliable infrastructure data to support agent-driven operations, automation, and modernization of Configuration Management Databases (CMDBs).

New capabilities include over 40 ecosystem integrations, AI-powered search, and customizable dashboards that turn visibility into actionable insights. Enhanced Infoblox MCP Server now directly connects AI agents to trusted infrastructure data.

Infoblox, a leading provider of proactive cybersecurity and critical network services headquartered in Santa Clara, California, announced on June 30, 2026 (U.S. time), a major enhancement to Infoblox Universal Asset Insights™. This evolution into an infrastructure intelligence platform is designed to prepare organizations for AI adoption and to deliver continuously validated, reliable infrastructure data that supports AI initiatives, automation, and operational decision-making.

As enterprises transition from experimental AI pilots to full-scale agent-driven operations, reliable infrastructure data is shifting from a 'nice-to-have' to a 'must-have' foundational element. However, most organizations currently operate on siloed, outdated, and unreliable data, layering new tools atop fragmented systems. This is not due to lack of effort, but a structural limitation: traditional discovery tools provide only point-in-time snapshots that become obsolete before scans complete, making manual reconciliation impossible. The faster AI operates, the greater the risk of systemic errors caused by this data gap, posing serious threats to business operations.

Infoblox’s approach is fundamentally different. By leveraging the foundational DNS and DHCP infrastructure that all assets rely on for connectivity, the platform delivers continuous visibility from the moment a device appears—without requiring agents or active scanning.

Alexander Barrere, Senior Core Infrastructure Engineer at Nordstrom, stated: "Our goal is to establish a single source of truth for network assets across Nordstrom. Infoblox Universal Asset Insights is helping us achieve this vision across both cloud and on-premises environments. With clear visibility, we’ve accelerated automation, improved operational efficiency, and built a foundation to support AI across the business."

Universal Asset Insights now delivers visibility across three core pillars: Discovery, Inventory, and Insights. It not only discovers every asset across the environment but also maintains a continuously reliable inventory and provides actionable insights on operations, security, and compliance tailored to the needs of network, security, cloud, and AI teams. By integrating these three pillars, organizations can build the continuously validated, trustworthy infrastructure intelligence required for AI readiness, CMDB reliability, and robust agent-driven operations and automation workflows.

Mukesh Gupta, Chief Product Officer at Infoblox, commented: "AI initiatives, agentive workflows, automation projects—they all come down to one thing: Do you accurately know what’s running in your environment? Many organizations have far more blind spots than they realize. The faster AI moves, the more costly these blind spots become. Simply 'detecting' assets is no longer enough. We need continuously validated infrastructure intelligence that accurately reflects the true state of the entire environment. Universal Asset Insights integrates discovery, inventory, and insights to accurately visualize infrastructure reality and empower organizations to confidently execute agent-driven operations, automation, and daily operational decisions."

Key Enhancements

Over 40 Third-Party API Integrations: Continuously ingest telemetry on devices, applications, and security from platforms across cloud, networking, security, endpoints, IoT/OT, identity, and collaboration. New integrations include Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, Juniper Mist, Nozomi Networks, Jamf Pro, Microsoft Intune, Qualys, and Okta.

ServiceNow Graph Connector: Expands the existing Infoblox-ServiceNow integration into bidirectional CMDB synchronization. Automatically resolves discrepancies between ServiceNow data and actual operational status, ensuring accurate ITSM workflows while reducing change risk and enhancing the reliability of AI and automation foundations.

Custom Dashboards: Enable network, security, cloud, and IT teams to build role-specific views of infrastructure, risk, and operational data directly tied to their workflows.

Natural Language Query: Allows teams to query infrastructure data using plain language and generate operational reports, enabling all teams—regardless of technical expertise—to understand asset status.

Enhanced Infoblox MCP Server: Empowers teams building agentive workflows on the Infoblox Platform to directly connect AI agents to Universal Asset Insights’ trusted infrastructure inventory. By linking AI agents to continuously validated asset data, organizations can build reliable agent-driven operations based on the network’s true state, not outdated or incomplete records.

Availability

New features will be generally available starting July 2026, with further enhancements planned by late August 2026. For more details, visit the Infoblox official website.
