It's chestnut season. I wonder what kind of chestnuts these are. There are two chestnut trees at Washin-mura. When we moved here two years ago, both looked unhealthy and were withering. At that time, I didn't even know they were chestnut trees. We didn't take any special care of them, and on top of that, Waka was digging up the roots constantly. For some reason, they have gradually grown lush. The quantity is very limited, but if the timing is right, you can start by harvesting chestnuts and then experience roasting them on a BBQ or bonfire. We tried it ourselves first. We just forced them open with a pair of scissors. We looked it up later and realized the timing was off.
