The most dilapidated Nagayamon gate at Washin-mura has become so beautiful! It feels strange to see it in front of me now. It is 200 years old. We kept the old pillars, beams, and mud walls, bringing them back to life. We lifted the entire building, rebuilt the foundation, and lowered it back into place. It takes much more effort, time, and money than building from scratch, but we chose this method because we want to cherish historical items. This charm cannot be found in new construction. Now, the next 200 years of the Nagayamon gate begin.
