Washinmura Announces Early Summer Firefly Tours and Satoyama Glamping Experience

Traveling during the rainy season can make you a little hesitant, right?

However, at Washinmura, there is scenery that you can only encounter because it is the rainy season.

The forest is beautifully moist, and the cats are relaxing as usual today. Enjoy the luxury of doing nothing during the day, and when night falls, go out to see the light of tiny fireflies.

We are hosting our firefly tour at Washinmura again this year.

Come and find the joys of early summer, which are not limited to sunny days.

*Since fireflies are natural creatures, their visibility varies depending on the weather and temperature.

A glamping village with only 6 rooms, located in the satoyama (rural landscape) of Futtsu, Chiba.🏕️

A 200-year-old traditional folk house and 15 rescue cats🐱. Please spend a healing time with nature and animals.

**How to spend your daytime**

Carry a traditional basket on your back and climb the slopes, or explore the forest. You can enjoy a traditional "original experience" of playing with your whole body.

**How to spend your nighttime**

Chat slowly while gazing at the flames of the bonfire. Before you know it, a cat is curled up and sleeping next to you. Such a day in the satoyama is a common sight at Washinmura.

**About the facility**

A traditional folk house and nagayamon gate built about 200 years ago, tents, and "snow peak jyubako" cabins are scattered throughout the premises. We live together with the following animals:

- 🐱 15 rescue cats - 🐐 Goats - 🐕 Dogs - 🐓 A family of Silkie chickens

**About animal snacks**

Under the guidance of our veterinarian, to manage the health of the cats, we kindly ask that you refrain from bringing in commercially available snacks.

If you wish to give them snacks, please purchase the carefully selected snacks (additive-free, domestic ingredients, etc.) sold at the Washinmura shop. *Sales are in limited quantities.

**Other precautions**

- Cats live freely on the premises. Please be careful if you have allergies. - The animals are capricious, so we do not know which room they will visit. They will not necessarily come to yours. - The cats and dogs at Washinmura have been spayed/neutered and receive vaccines and tick prevention medication.
