Opening to the public: One-of-a-kind Artek <Stool 60> crafted by 15 groups including Tadao Ando and Naoto Fukasawa

Interoffice Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Masanori Iwashita) will hold the exhibition for the charity project 'OneStool, One Story Interoffice 50th Anniversary Charity Auction,' commemorating its 50th anniversary of founding, from Thursday, April 23, 2026, at the retail store MAARKET (2-7-15 Kita-Aoyama, Minato-ku, Tokyo).

This project is a charity auction planning featuring 15 groups of creators under the theme of Artek <Stool 60>, serving as a symbolic project for Interoffice's 50th anniversary. This exhibition opens the artworks, which have been part of a traveling exhibition at various Interoffice locations up to now, widely to the general public. During the exhibition period, anyone can visit without a reservation.

In this project, 15 groups of creators, including architects, designers, and artists such as Tadao Ando and Naoto Fukasawa, participated based on the Artek <Stool 60> designed by Alvar Aalto in 1933. One-of-a-kind works modified from their respective perspectives are exhibited. By facing the common product <Stool 60>, modifying the materials, reinterpreting the structure, or shifting the perspective, pieces with a different expression for each stool are born. Regarding a completed masterpiece, what is inherited, where is it modified, and where is it left untouched? The accumulation of these judgments appears as a different expression for each stool.

The venue is MAARKET, a place where people and design meet

At MAARKET, the venue, anyone can visit without a reservation and casually view the works. Additionally, you can leisurely view other furniture in the space unique to a retail store.

MAARKET is a retail store that offers a selection of furniture and products from domestic and international brands, mainly from Europe, under the concept of 'Market = a place where people and design meet.'

The interior, designed by Interoffice's design team, Interoffice Design Studio, is a space like a design museum focusing on each product individually.

Furthermore, a store for the Danish furniture brand Muuto is also set up inside the shop, allowing you to experience the charm of design along with perspectives on styling proposals and coordination.
