Adopting a Domestic Cloud Infrastructure Operated in Japanese Data Centers! Announcing "NarSuS Cloud Backup SC"
Overview
KEY FIGURES
In recent years, with the increase in natural disasters and the sophistication of cyberattacks, the importance of data backup for corporations and local governments has further increased from the perspective of Business Continuity Planning (BCP). Furthermore, there is a growing need for hybrid operations that combine data storage locations to achieve both the resilience of the cloud and the high-speed access of on-premises systems. To meet these needs, we have provided easy and effective remote backup services with "NarSuS Cloud Backup" until now.
We are now announcing "NarSuS Cloud Backup SC" as a successor service that inherits this concept while renewing the underlying infrastructure.
Three Features of "NarSuS Cloud Backup SC"
1. Adoption of a Domestic Cloud Infrastructure Considering Data Sovereignty
This service utilizes "Sakura Cloud" provided by Sakura Internet Inc. Data is managed in domestic data centers and complies with Japanese laws. "Sakura Cloud" is a domestically developed cloud infrastructure operated in Japanese data centers, incorporating the concept of a sovereign cloud that emphasizes data sovereignty and operational sovereignty. By adopting a cloud infrastructure managed and operated in Japan, this service provides a data protection environment that emphasizes data sovereignty in addition to BCP measures.
2. Reliable Domestic Cloud for Peace of Mind
"Sakura Cloud" was selected in the "Cloud Services for Government Cloud Development for FY2026" solicitation by the Digital Agency.
This service leverages a cloud infrastructure with such a track record to support the stable storage and operation of important business data.

I-O DATA also serves as the contact point for inquiries and consultations regarding data operations, providing consistent support from introduction to operation and troubleshooting.
Evolution of Usability and Features ~ Main Enhancements from Previous Service ~
"NarSuS Cloud Backup SC" has improved its functionality and operability based on customer feedback received for the previous service.
In addition to the addition of the "backup of configuration items" function, which was a frequent request from customers, the UI (User Interface) has been significantly revamped. The manageability of multiple licenses has also been improved, enabling a transition to a more user-friendly operational environment even for existing users. The design is also intuitive for first-time users, making it easier to introduce and operate.
