ispace, Inc. (Chuo-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Takeshi Hakamada) announced that Bretton Alexander joined its U.S. subsidiary, ispace technologies U.S., inc. (ispace-U.S.), as Executive Vice President (EVP) of Business Development, effective June 1 (U.S. Time).

Mr. Alexander will leverage his deep expertise and extensive network within the space industry to drive business expansion for ispace-U.S. He holds both Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Virginia. His previous roles include President of the Commercial Space Flight Federation (CSF), key positions in business development and government sales at Blue Origin, and Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) at Firefly Aerospace.

In addition to his private sector experience, Mr. Alexander served as a Senior Policy Analyst at the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy under both the Clinton and George W. Bush administrations. He has also served in advisory roles for NASA, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), and the Google Lunar XPRIZE.

ispace-U.S., headquartered in Colorado, supports scientific research, technology demonstrations, and commercial activities through the development and provision of lunar transportation and infrastructure. Following the NASA 'IGNITION' announcement, the company aims to secure future Commercial Lunar Payload Services (CLPS) task orders and private payload transportation contracts to support operations at the lunar south pole.
