ITOKI Corporation (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; President: Koji Minato) will launch 'Econifa UPCYCLE,' a sustainable design solution that utilizes unused resources from companies and regions to create spatial value that fosters employee pride and empathy, starting in June 2026.

Against the backdrop of growing interest in human capital management and increased talent mobility, companies are being challenged to create spaces that foster empathy with employees and society, while forming a unique brand identity. In response, ITOKI has redefined its existing domestic timber solution as 'Econifa WOOD' and introduced 'Econifa UPCYCLE' to recycle and utilize byproducts and unused resources from manufacturing processes. These solutions have been integrated under the rebranded 'Econifa' sustainable design solution. 'Econifa' proposes spaces where the background and story of each material—whether domestic timber or unused resources—are leveraged to allow people to experience the company's culture and manufacturing philosophy, going beyond simple environmental considerations.

This initiative will be unveiled at 'ORGATEC TOKYO 2026,' held at Tokyo Big Sight starting June 2, 2026.

(Details regarding collaborative projects with companies like Seven-Eleven, Toyota, and Kewpie are included in the full release.)

Founded in 1890, ITOKI operates under the mission statement 'Designing tomorrow's work.' The company supports the creation of various spaces and environments through office furniture manufacturing, spatial design, and consulting services.
