IVS, one of Japan's largest startup conferences, will hold 'IVS2026' from July 1 (Wed) to July 3 (Fri), 2026, primarily at Miyako Messe in Kyoto. Following significant success last year, the 'IVS Startup Market,' an exhibition and networking space for 300 leading startups, will be expanded and held again this year.

What is the 'IVS Startup Market'?

This space is exclusive to startups that have been recommended by IVS, leading domestic VCs, or have passed a rigorous self-recommendation screening process. During the three-day event, a total of 340 companies will participate, with 100 different companies exhibiting each day.

In the previous edition, participating companies gave high ratings, with an exhibitor satisfaction score of 4.40 out of 5 and a satisfaction score of 3.94 for the VC-led market tours. In terms of concrete outcomes, each booth recorded an average of 110 visitors (with a maximum of 500–800), and participants achieved deep engagement with an average of 22 investors and 23 prospective business partners.

The venue is designed to allow investors and corporate partners to efficiently meet their 'future partners,' offering a pragmatic environment where business collaborations, funding negotiations, and recruitment discussions take place on the spot.

Applying for the 'IVS Startup Market'

There are three routes to apply for the IVS Startup Market: recommendation from IVS, recommendation from VCs or prominent entrepreneurs, and open entry (self-recommendation). All applicants must pass a rigorous screening by the IVS2026 Selection Committee.

Application Deadline: May 31, 2026 (Fri) at 23:59.
