Iwasaki Electric has launched a "New Service Utilizing Security Streetlights" to address community challenges such as changing crime trends and a shortage of personnel for crime prevention activities. With existing security streetlights across municipalities nationwide approaching their replacement period, there is a demand for efficient and value-added replacement methods. Against this backdrop, this service aims to upgrade security streetlights to smart ones, contributing not only to longer life and energy savings but also to enhancing community safety, security, and child-rearing support. As the first step, a model project will be implemented in parts of Yokohama City.

Service Details: 1. Installation of Smart Security Streetlights: These lights automatically control brightness by detecting the movement of people and cars, achieving both safety and energy efficiency. 2. Security Streetlights with Cameras: Integrating cameras with streetlights allows for more efficient installation compared to separate setups, contributing to reduced installation costs. 3. Child Safety Monitoring Service: By having children carry a "Mimamori Tag" linked to the security streetlights, parents can check their location information on their smartphones.

Implementation Areas: - Idogaya area, Minami Ward, Yokohama City - Nara area (partial), Aoba Ward, Yokohama City

By advancing our long-cultivated lighting technology and merging it with new technologies and services that "create the new future," we aim to contribute to building safe and secure communities while staying close to local society. Please check the Iwasaki Electric website for more details.
