© DISNEY. Based on the "Winnie the Pooh" works by A.A. Milne and E.H. Shepard.

In 1926, British playwright and poet A.A. Milne (1882-1956) created and published "Winnie-the-Pooh" (Japanese translation published by Iwanami Shoten) for his son, Christopher Robin.

Centered around the easygoing Pooh, who sometimes causes a stir at his own pace, the stories of Christopher Robin and his unique friends quickly gained popularity and have been loved globally across generations.

Working closely with Milne to brilliantly illustrate the world of this story was illustrator E.H. Shepard (1879 - 1976).

Based on sketches of his own son and his son's stuffed animals, Shepard created lively, dynamic illustrations that brought to life the charming world where Pooh and his friends reside.

This time, we are releasing 5 types of Classic Pooh original towels that abundantly feature Shepard's illustrations, the very origin of Winnie-the-Pooh.
