Four companies, Triiku, Town Life, Broad Enterprise, and SocioFuture, have joined the National Vacant House Countermeasure Consortium, which works to curb the increase in vacant houses, a major social issue in Japan.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, the number of vacant houses in Japan reached a record high of 9 million, with a vacancy rate of 13.8%. Vacant house issues span diverse fields such as inheritance, demolition, sales, and utilization, making them difficult for local governments to handle alone. Consequently, this consortium was established to foster collaboration among businesses, academic institutions, and local governments.

The four new members will leverage their specialized expertise and business foundations to promote owner support, facilitate problem-solving in public-private-academic partnerships, and encourage the circulation of vacant houses. The consortium aims to contribute to regional revitalization as a 'co-creation vacant house platform.'

Key Activities: - Seminars and consultations for property owners - Seminars and consultations for government officials - Research and surveys on vacant house issues - Business matching among participating companies
