[JAF Akita] JAF to Host Booth at 'Suido Fureai Fair & Environmental Exhibition'

The JAF (Japan Automobile Federation) Akita branch (Branch Manager: Tetsumitsu Ito) will host a booth at the 2026 Suido Fureai Fair & Environmental Exhibition to promote traffic safety for children.

[What is the Suido Fureai Fair & Environmental Exhibition?]

The Suido Fureai Fair & Environmental Exhibition is held in conjunction with Environment Month in June and Waterworks Week (June 1st to 7th), serving as an event to raise awareness about the importance of water and the environment. Highlights include a water tasting corner by the Akita City Waterworks Bureau, where attendees can compare tap water and mineral water. Additionally, those who participate in the biodiversity survey by the Akita City Environment Department will receive seeds for green curtains (morning glory and bitter melon) on a first-come, first-served basis (limited to the first 400 people).

Visitors who pass a traffic safety quiz will receive a 'Child Safety License,' which looks just like a real driver's license. The license is created with a photo of the child, making it a popular memento of the event.
