Our Printers Win Awards in Three Categories at the "EDP Awards 2026"

Mimaki Engineering Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Tomi City, Nagano Prefecture; President: Kazuaki Ikeda), a manufacturer of industrial inkjet printers, cutting plotters, and 3D printers, is pleased to announce that three of its printers have received awards in their respective categories at the "EDP Awards 2026" hosted by the European Digital Press Association (EDP).

The award-winning products are the latest hybrid UV printer "UJ330H-160", the flatbed UV printer "UJF-7151 plusII e", and the sublimation transfer printer for textiles "TS330-1800".

The EDP Awards are presented to innovative products in the digital printing industry, selected by the EDP Technical Committee, which consists of independent consultants, editors, engineers, and other industry experts. In its 19th year, Mimaki received awards in three categories: "Flatbed and Hybrid Printers up to 50 sqm/h*", "Direct Printing on 3D Objects", and "Textile Roll-to-Roll Printers up to 150 sqm".

Introduction of Award-Winning Products (Excerpts from EDP's evaluation comments)

1. Hybrid UV Printer "UJ330H-160"

Award Category: "Flatbed and Hybrid Printers up to 50 sqm/h"

This product is a hybrid UV printer that offers new value to the sign market. It supports both roll media and rigid (board) media, achieving high versatility that covers a wide range of applications with a single unit. Furthermore, by adopting UV printing technology, it enables stable printing on materials susceptible to heat deformation, making it a practical solution for applications traditionally dominated by solvent or latex printers.

2. Flatbed UV Printer "UJF-7151 plusII e"

Award Category: "Direct Printing on 3D Objects"

This product is a UV flatbed printer that achieves high-definition direct printing on three-dimensional objects, making it suitable for high-value-added and industrial applications. It can accommodate materials up to 30kg in weight and 153mm in height, and its LD3 mode ensures stable printing on curved or uneven surfaces. Additionally, it offers "2.5D Thick Ink Printing" for creating textured embellishments up to 5mm thick, ideal for applications requiring a sense of luxury and design. The improved primer application speed and a rich lineup of UV inks provide the flexibility and reliability demanded by production environments.

3. Textile Sublimation Transfer Printer "TS330-1800"

Award Category: "Textile Roll-to-Roll Printers up to 150 sqm"

This product supports a maximum print width of 1.9 meters and is a sublimation transfer printer that enables new expressions and application development in the fields of interior fabrics and sports uniforms. In addition to high-speed output of approximately 140 sqm/h, its unique imaging technology achieves smooth gradations and reduced color unevenness, providing stable, high-quality printing. With a choice of up to 8 colors from an 11-color ink lineup, including orange, violet, and two fluorescent colors, it faithfully reproduces designs with high color reproducibility and vibrant output.

Furthermore, it is equipped with stable media handling performance and large-capacity ink options, highly praised as a solution offering the speed, reliability, and future-proofing required for industrial applications.
