The Japanese Society for Rights of Authors, Composers and Publishers (JASRAC; Headquarters: Shibuya, Tokyo; Chairman: Kazumasa Izawa) announced that its royalty collections for fiscal year 2025 reached 152.32 billion yen, and distributions totaled 151.85 billion yen, both marking historic highs.

Royalty collections increased by 7.73 billion yen from the previous fiscal year (2024). Collections surpassed 150 billion yen for the first time, driven by robust performance in interactive streaming services, such as music subscription and video platforms, as well as strong results from performance rights due to an increase in large-scale concerts.

Distributions increased by 9.52 billion yen from the previous fiscal year, with the total amount returned to creators and other rights holders exceeding 150 billion yen for the first time. The number of works subject to distribution reached 4,066,661.

JASRAC remains committed to contributing to the development of the music industry and culture through continued efforts to return value to creators and rights holders.
