Kyushu University Selects 'GAKUEN RX 2.0' Series for Next-Generation Core System

Japan System Techniques Co., Ltd. (JAST) (Headquarters: Kita-ku, Osaka; Representative Director and President: Takashi Hirabayashi) has announced that its strategic university management system, the 'GAKUEN RX 2.0' series, has been selected for implementation at Kyushu University (Headquarters: Nishi-ku, Fukuoka; President: Tatsuro Ishibashi).

Background of Implementation Kyushu University has been seeking a core system to manage academic and grade information that can support advanced educational and research activities, while also ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and sustainable usability of institutional data.

In selecting its next-generation core system, Kyushu University prioritized the ability to perform operations using standard system functions and ensuring stable, future-proof operations. Previously, the university relied on customized solutions for individual tasks, which led to issues where existing customizations required further modifications during policy changes, thereby preventing the institution from fully benefiting from software updates. To address this, the university decided to implement the system without individual customizations, shifting toward an operational model based on standard functions to achieve operational standardization and sustainable usage.
