JCI Japan (President: Masamasa Kato) has announced the 10 middle and high school students selected as 'JCI JAPAN Global Youth UN Ambassadors' for 2026.
The selected ambassadors are:
- Sota Nakazawa (Grade 11, Hokkaido) - Rinako Mikata (Grade 8, Tokyo) - Miu Morikawa (Grade 8, Tokyo) - Aoi Yokokawa (Grade 11, Kanagawa) - Ran Miyazaki (Grade 11, Shizuoka) - Hana Kurahashi (Grade 11, Aichi) - Nonoka Abe (Grade 11, Mie) - Ririko Fujimoto (Grade 9, Kyoto) - Esora Matsuyama (Grade 9, Hyogo) - Takahiro Fujita (Grade 10, Okayama)
Following a rigorous selection process from 24 applicants, these 10 individuals were chosen. They will participate in domestic training, including visits to peace-related facilities, followed by overseas training in New York, which includes participation in the 'Global Youth Summit.' The project aims to develop leaders who take ownership of peace and can initiate actions in their local regions.
[Key Schedule] - May 30: Formation ceremony and 1st web training - July 2-5: Domestic training in Kagoshima Prefecture - July 28 - August 1: Overseas training in New York (including the Global Youth Summit) - November 7: Dissolution ceremony (sharing of achievements)
The JCI JAPAN Global Youth UN Ambassador program is a youth development project launched by JCI Japan in 2017. In 2026, it was adopted as an official program of JCI (Junior Chamber International).
