JGC Holdings Corporation (Representative Director, Chairman & CEO Masayuki Sato) announces that its overseas EPC operating company, JGC Global Corporation (Representative Director, President Shoji Yamada; hereinafter 'JGC Global'), in a joint venture with Fluor Corporation (hereinafter 'Fluor'), has been awarded a Limited Notice To Proceed (LNTP) for the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) of the LNG Canada Expansion Project from LNG Canada.

1. Client:
LNG Canada
A joint venture composed of Shell, PETRONAS, PetroChina Company Limited, Mitsubishi Corporation, and Korea Gas Corporation.
2. Planned Plant Construction Site:
Adjacent to the LNG Canada Project (Phase 1) site located in Kitimat, British Columbia, Canada.
3. Scope of Services:
Limited Notice To Proceed (LNTP) for the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) of a plant expansion project to double the production capacity of the LNG Canada project, which currently has a capacity of approximately 14 million tonnes per annum of LNG.
4. Project Overview:
The LNG Canada Project (Phase 1), for which JGC Global and Fluor jointly completed the EPC services and achieved the first LNG shipment last year, has an LNG production capacity of approximately 14 million tonnes per annum (7 million tonnes x 2 trains) and is a project that will operate for the next 40 years.
This expansion project, upon reaching a Final Investment Decision (FID), will involve adding liquefaction facilities and other equipment on the site adjacent to the LNG Canada project, doubling the project's total production capacity to approximately 28 million tonnes per annum.
JGC Global and Fluor have jointly been awarded this EPC LNTP, similar to the LNG Canada Project (Phase 1). This award is a result of the evaluation of both companies' project execution capabilities demonstrated in Phase 1 and their track record of successfully completing numerous large-scale LNG projects. We consider this a step towards securing the full EPC contract.
In addition to this service, the JGC Group is currently executing other LNG EPC projects such as the Ruwais LNG new construction project in the United Arab Emirates, a nearshore FLNG project in Malaysia, and LNTP work for an FLNG project in Mozambique. The group is also performing basic design services for the Rovuma LNG project in Mozambique and the Abadi onshore LNG project in Indonesia. Through the construction of LNG plants with low environmental impact, we will continue to strive for the realization of the energy transition and our group's purpose of 'Enhancing Planetary Health.'
