Akira Kobayashi 70th Nikkatsu Anniversary & 88th Birthday Commemorative Pure Gold Card Released

Nippon Broadcasting Project Co., Ltd. will release a "Pure Gold Card" to commemorate singer and actor Akira Kobayashi, who has long led the Japanese entertainment industry, celebrating his 70th anniversary of his Nikkatsu debut and his 88th birthday (Beiju) this year.

This product is planned as a special commemorative item using pure gold (24K), with the concept of "eternally preserving the trajectory of a national star representing the Showa era." It is a luxurious collector's item that revives famous scenes from Nikkatsu films starring Kobayashi on a pure gold card.

The cards are limited to 88 pieces each in honor of his 88th birthday, with serial numbers from 01/88 to 88/88 on the back. Sales will end once the limited quantity is reached, so early application is recommended.

☆What is "AKIRA EIGHTY EIGHT"?

Akira Kobayashi celebrated his Pre-70th anniversary in 2024, his 70th anniversary in 2025, and his 70th Nikkatsu debut anniversary in 2026. He will turn 88 (Beiju) this November, and over the 21 months until he turns 89, he will hold events touring 88 locations. These events will include not only concerts but also film events in collaboration with Nikkatsu and various other associates, video works using AI to revive a young Akira Kobayashi, and new song releases.
