In April 2026, our university will launch the "Game Science Course" (targeting all departments of the Faculty of Information Science and Technology), which fuses the strengths of the Faculty of Information Science and Technology and the Faculty of Intellectual Property. Under the cooperation of the intellectual property department of game software manufacturer "Capcom," special lectures such as "Introduction to Game Business Management" and "Game Intellectual Property Management" are being offered.

Mapúa University is a private university established in 1925 in Metro Manila. It is highly regarded as one of the leading science and technology universities in the Philippines and possesses a rich international educational environment. It has strengths particularly in the fields of engineering and IT, and has been actively strengthening its education for the game industry in recent years, including establishing courses to study game development. Taking this exchange agreement as an opportunity, our university will engage in corporate-linked international PBL with Mapúa University this summer.

The content industry is an area where Japan holds an international advantage, and further growth is expected as one of the world's major industries in the future. Among these, the game industry continues to see global market expansion. To win in international competition, it is urgent to foster human resources who possess not only advanced technical skills in game production but also a foundation in business and intellectual property, and who can produce the entire game industry. Leveraging the strengths of collaboration with top IT schools in the Philippines and a game software manufacturer based in Osaka, we will nurture our students into globally active professionals by jointly developing various programs.
