Ricoh Black Rams Tokyo and Fuji Gas Co., Ltd. (4-36-16 Kaminoge, Setagaya-ku, Tokyo; President: Yuichi Tsuda) have entered into a contract as Sustainability Partners (Official Partners) for the NTT JAPAN RUGBY LEAGUE ONE 2025-26 season, and have been implementing environmental and community contribution activities throughout the season.
We report below on the main initiatives of both parties during this season, focusing on promoting decarbonization through LP gas utilization and community living activities at the Ricoh General Ground.
2025-26 Season Initiatives Overview
1. Establishment of Sustainability Partnership with Fuji Gas Co., Ltd.
Ricoh Black Rams Tokyo and Fuji Gas Co., Ltd. have newly established a sustainability partnership for the NTT JAPAN RUGBY LEAGUE ONE 2025-26 season. Fuji Gas Co., Ltd. was founded in Setagaya in 1954 and has supported regional safety for over 70 years through the sale of LP gas and equipment.
Both parties, with the basic policy of "Strengthening cooperation through social contribution, community contribution activities, and SDGs initiatives," are promoting co-creation activities towards the realization of a platform that connects people and towns through the power of sports.
[Comment from Mr. Yuichi Tsuda, President of Fuji Gas Co., Ltd.]
Through this partnership, we will build up developmental and sustainable initiatives and promote co-creation and implementation from the perspectives of social contribution, community contribution, and sustainability. As a partner walking together, we will make every effort to realize initiatives that create a sustainable impact on the region.
2. Environmental Consideration through Introduction of LP Gas Generators at Komazawa Olympic Park Stadium (3 Matches)
In the 2025-26 season, for the three home matches held at the Komazawa Olympic Park Stadium, we completely switched from conventional gasoline generators to LP gas generators with the aim of reducing environmental impact.
[Target Matches]
- Round 7 vs Saitama Panasonic Wild Knights (February 7, 2026)
- Round 9 vs Urayasu D-Rocks (February 21, 2026)
- Round 11 vs Shizuoka Blue Revs (March 14, 2026)

[Initiative Effects]
By switching from gasoline generators to LP gas generators, CO2 emissions were reduced by approximately 10%. Furthermore, LP gas generators emit almost no NOx (nitrogen oxides) or SOx (sulfur oxides) and are a lower environmental impact energy source compared to gasoline. The introduction of LP gas generators also contributed to improving the environment around the stadium.
We will continue and expand our decarbonization efforts in match operations in collaboration with Fuji Gas Co., Ltd.
3. Other Activity Examples
Based at the Ricoh General Ground (Unamo, Setagaya-ku, Tokyo), the training base for Ricoh Black Rams Tokyo, we carried out community-based activities in cooperation with Fuji Gas Co., Ltd.
[Activity Example: Ground Opening for Nearby Kindergartens]
The Ricoh General Ground was opened to nearby kindergartens every Wednesday, creating opportunities for children to interact with rugby balls and other equipment. Players and staff directly interacted with the children, deepening connections with the local community through sports.

4. Future Initiatives - Carbon Offset for Ricoh General Ground
Ricoh Black Rams Tokyo and Fuji Gas Co., Ltd. will continue to deepen their collaboration as sustainability partners, with the shared goal of achieving carbon offsets for CO2 emissions from LP gas facilities to be installed at the Kinuta Ground. Through the utilization of LP gas, consideration of renewable energy introduction, and continued environmental activities in cooperation with the community, we aim to build a model case where rugby contributes to the decarbonization of the local community.
Under its team vision "Be a Movement.," Ricoh Black Rams Tokyo will continue to be a force that moves society through the power of sports. Together with Fuji Gas Co., Ltd., we will promote regional and environmental activities that we can be proud of for future generations.
