NTT Security Japan Signs Joint Research Agreement with Tokyo Metropolitan University

NTT Security Japan Corp. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Taro Sekine) has signed a joint research agreement with Tokyo Metropolitan University (Hachioji-shi, Tokyo; Director of University-Industry-Government Collaboration Center: Takashi Hotta).

In recent years, social engineering attacks such as phishing and scams have become increasingly sophisticated and frequent. This has created an urgent need for advanced countermeasure technologies, including the analysis of infrastructure information exploited in such attacks.

The objective of this joint research is to study attack infrastructure information analysis techniques to counter social engineering. Specifically, the research will focus on technologies for accurately identifying and collecting information on infrastructures used in attacks, as well as analysis techniques to translate collected data into effective countermeasures.

By combining NTT Security Japan's proprietary threat intelligence with the academic expertise of Tokyo Metropolitan University, the collaboration aims to advance infrastructure collection and analysis technologies and contribute to highly practical security measures.

Looking ahead, the partners aim to apply the research findings to enhance phishing countermeasures and SOC operations, thereby strengthening overall cyber security and contributing to the safety of society as a whole.
