A-FACTORY to Release Limited-Edition Brandy Made from Aomori 'General Leclerc' Pears on May 23

A-FACTORY Aomori Kobo (located in Aomori City) will release a limited quantity of 'A-FACTORY General Leclerc Brandy,' a fruit brandy made from Aomori-grown General Leclerc pears, starting Saturday, May 23.

Characteristics of General Leclerc 'General Leclerc,' a premium pear variety grown in Aomori Prefecture. Born in France and raised in Aomori, it is a premium pear variety for which Aomori Prefecture boasts the highest production volume in Japan. It is larger than other varieties and turns golden when ripened. Due to its majestic appearance, it is called the 'King of Pear.'

A-FACTORY General Leclerc Brandy Poiré (pear cider) is carefully and slowly distilled using a Charentais pot still. The distilled spirit is then aged with ultra-soft water from the Shirakami Mountains located in Ajigasawa Town. It is a refreshing, made-in-Aomori fruit brandy with the crisp scent of pears.
