Meet Gunma-chan as a Train Conductor! Special Hospitality Journey on a Sightseeing Train

JR East View Tourism & Sales Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Sumida-ku, Tokyo; President and Representative Director: Hiroyuki Sawada) has launched a travel package titled "Gunma-chan Challenges to be a Conductor: All Aboard!" where "Gunma-chan," who has become a train conductor, will offer hospitality onboard.

"Gunma-chan" loves to go to various places, enjoy delicious food, and play with friends. In this package, "Gunma-chan," who is also the Public Relations Ambassador for Gunma Prefecture, will take on the role of a train conductor on the popular sightseeing trains running in Gunma Prefecture, "GV Gunma-chan Mizukami" and "GV Gunma-chan Yokokawa."

While demonstrating the conductor duties learned during the training period, "Gunma-chan" will liven up the train journey through interaction with customers! Please enjoy a special time together with "Gunma-chan."

1. Tour Highlights

Numerous enjoyable benefits unique to this interactive event!

"Gunma-chan," the Public Relations Ambassador for Gunma Prefecture, will greet customers while wearing a conductor's uniform.

In addition to a stage by conductor "Gunma-chan," customer participation events such as quizzes and rock-paper-scissors tournaments will be held. Winners of the rock-paper-scissors tournament will receive a postcard with "Gunma-chan's" handwritten signature.

We will provide the Gunma-chan picture book "Gunma-chan Goes Through the Mysterious Tunnel" along with a tour-exclusive original "Gunma-chan" sticker.

Enjoy a special meal to enhance your train journey, featuring katsu sandwiches from Hotel Metropolitan Takasaki, macarons designed with "Gunma-chan," and a "Gunma-chan" cooler bag.

For the GV Gunma-chan Yokokawa plan, you can participate in the "Railway History Quiz Rally with Gunma-chan" at the Usui Pass Railway Culture Village, a railway theme park where various vehicles, including those with deep ties to Gunma Prefecture, are exhibited. This event allows you to search for hints while strolling through the park, making it an enjoyable challenge.

*The "Railway History Quiz Rally with Gunma-chan" is an event for customers to participate in individually. "Gunma-chan" will not accompany participants.
