This Summer, Experience the Excitement at the Station! Tobata Station Kids Summer Festival

Kyushu Railway Company (JR Kyushu) will host the 'Tobata Station Kids Summer Festival' on Saturday, July 25, 2026, at the Tobata Station Concourse.

Centered around the theme 'Experience the Excitement at the Station This Summer!', the event offers a wide range of interactive activities designed for children and families to enjoy together. We invite families to visit Tobata Station and create unforgettable summer vacation memories.

Kids Take the Spotlight! Immersive Railway Experience Zones

Exciting booths offering realistic railway experiences will be set up in the station concourse.

- Mini Train Ride: Hop on a small train and set off with energy!

- Train Simulator Experience (Ticketed, First-Come, First-Served): Challenge yourself with realistic train operation just like a real driver. ※ Each session lasts 30 minutes for 10 participants; experience time is approximately 3 minutes. Tickets will be distributed at the booth.

- Conductor Experience: Try your hand at ticket checking and delivering the dreamy onboard announcements.

- Target Toss Game: Aim and throw balls to win great prizes!

- Train Mask Coloring: Color your favorite train mask and create your own original design.

- Gachapon Machine: Win exclusive JR Kyushu original merchandise.

- Uniform Photo Corner: Dress up in children's-sized uniforms and enjoy commemorative photo sessions at Tobata Station. ※ Free for participants of the Train Simulator or Conductor Experience.

Beyond railway experiences, we’ve prepared fun spots for families to enjoy the whole day.

- KAINZ Workshop Corner: Enjoy hands-on craft activities together as a family (priced at 100 yen, 300 yen, and 800 yen per activity). ※ Not covered by event tickets.

- Stationfront Market: Food trucks and booths offering delicious gourmet food, sweets, and charming handmade crafts will gather in front of Tobata Station.

- Date: Saturday, July 25, 2026 (Rain or shine; canceled only in severe weather) - Time: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM - Venue: Tobata Station Concourse - Participation: Activities ① to ⑦ require event tickets. - Event Tickets: 10-ticket set for 500 yen (tax included) - Ticket Sales: Available at the Tobata Station Concourse starting at 10:00 AM on the day. ※ The number of tickets required varies by activity.
