JSB Co., Ltd. Hosts Welcome Party Featuring Disaster Prevention Board Games at Student Apartment

JSB Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Kyoto City, Kyoto Prefecture; President: Takahiro Mori) held a "Welcome Party" on April 21, 2026, at its student apartment, "Student Hall Kyoto Nishijin Residence," aimed at helping students acquire disaster prevention knowledge.

[Background] In light of increasing disaster risks, the company added a disaster prevention element to its traditional networking events to enhance resident awareness. With the cooperation of Nishimura Fire Protection Engineering Co., Ltd. and the Kyoto City Fire Department, 56 new student residents participated.

[Program Content] 1. Disaster/Fire Prevention Mini Quiz 2. Disaster Prevention Board Game "Moshikaji": Students simulated the speed of smoke spread and the difficulties of evacuation.

[Participant Feedback] Students shared candid impressions such as, "I was surprised by how fast the smoke spreads" and "Evacuating is more difficult than I imagined," marking an opportunity to deepen their understanding of fire safety.

[Other Initiatives] The company conducts awareness-raising activities nationwide, including events around "Disaster Prevention Day," and is strengthening its collaboration with local governments.
