Kagome Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Nagoya, Aichi; President: Harunobu Okutani) has been selected as a 'Supplier Engagement Leader,' the highest rating in the 'Supplier Engagement Rating' conducted by CDP, an international non-profit organization. This marks the third time Kagome has received this recognition, following selections in 2022 and 2024.
In December 2025, Kagome was also named an 'A List Company' for 'Water Security' by CDP. This latest recognition for 'Supplier Engagement' further solidifies the company's standing in environmental management.
The CDP Supplier Engagement Rating evaluates corporate climate change initiatives across the supply chain in five categories: Governance, Business Strategy, Supplier Engagement, Scope 3 Emissions, and Risk Management/Process/Targets. Companies with exceptional performance are designated as 'Supplier Engagement Leaders.'
Kagome established reduction targets for 2030 and obtained certification from the Science Based Targets (SBT) initiative in February 2022. In July 2025, the company also secured certification for short-term targets in the FLAG (Forest, Land, and Agriculture) sector, which targets greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from land use. While striving to reduce GHG emissions across all scopes, Kagome recognizes that involving more suppliers is crucial for reducing Scope 3 emissions. In this CDP assessment, Kagome's comprehensive collaboration with suppliers—including setting GHG reduction targets, tracking Scope 3 emissions, and understanding suppliers' own targets and challenges—was highly evaluated.
Kagome remains committed to prioritizing the reduction of GHG emissions as a vital part of its efforts toward a sustainable global environment.
