Global cutlery manufacturer Kai Corporation has launched an initiative in collaboration with its founding city, Seki, Gifu, to use collected bottle caps in the production of nail clippers, holding an agreement signing ceremony on April 23, 2026. In partnership with Seki City and the Japan Circular Economy Partnership (J-CEP), Kai will use caps collected at city facilities as recycled material for the stoppers of its 'New Standard Nail Clippers' to reduce CO2 emissions. To help citizens realize the impact of their recycling, the company plans to distribute these products at local environmental events. The collection period runs from May 1 to July 31, 2026.
