Tour Highlights

On this tour, you can specially visit valuable residences that are normally completely private, with guidance from the owners and managers.

Inagaki Residence (Ageki, Inabe City): A magnificent residence that flourished as a sake brewery in the Meiji era. You will visit the water channel "Manbo" which is still in use today, and two well-maintained gardens, guided by Mr. Inagaki himself.

Kato Residence at Oyama-no-ie (formerly Shigemori Residence): A residence from the late Edo period, currently being restored using the construction methods of the time. You will see the interior structure that shows the transition from Meiji to Showa eras, and enjoy matcha tea in the restored space.

Lunch at Onoue Villa: A historic restaurant renovated from the home of Kosuge Kennosuke, a prominent figure of the Meiji era. Enjoy exquisite modern French cuisine while overlooking the vast garden.
