[Event Report] Held 'M&A Strategy Formulation Workshop: Consistent PMI Execution from M&A Strategy' for growth-oriented regional mid-sized and core companies!

On Tuesday, March 17, 2026, the Kansai Bureau of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI Kansai), in collaboration with Deloitte Tohmatsu LLC, held an 'M&A Strategy Formulation Workshop: Consistent PMI Execution from M&A Strategy' aimed at supporting the business expansion of growth-oriented mid-sized and core companies through M&A.

Following a survey on the actual state of M&A among growth-oriented mid-sized companies in the Kansai region conducted last fiscal year (FY2024), the Bureau determined that providing practical learning opportunities and forums for discussing M&A strategy formulation is highly effective. Consequently, the workshop was held again this year, building on the success of the previous one.

While last year's workshop focused primarily on reviewing and deepening corporate growth strategies in preparation for M&A, this year's session took a step further, focusing on formulating M&A strategies that incorporate Post-Merger Integration (PMI) to maximize synergy effects after the transaction.
